Download The Road Guardians project gets a major upgrade! A new app offers a streamlined, improved user experience.
Join the Road Guardians and help save lives!
Launched in 2016, the "Road Guardians - Our Shared Road" initiative aims to promote safe driving and deter dangerous behavior. As of January 1, 2023, the Safe Path association manages the project.
Anyone 18 or older can download the Road Guardians app and start reporting traffic violations.
Using the app is simple and quick. Activate it before driving, and when you witness a violation, initiate a report using either a voice command or a Bluetooth button on your steering wheel. The app will automatically record video and details of the infraction.
These reports are sent to a control center staffed by experienced volunteer monitors. After review, the driver receives a "letter on the way" with a link to the recorded video. Reports of serious, life-threatening offenses are forwarded directly to law enforcement.
