Blasphemous is out now on Android, for all you god-fearing heretics out there

Authore: OliverUpdate:Jan 04,2025

Blasphemous, the critically acclaimed 2D platformer steeped in religious and Spanish folklore, is now available on Android! This mobile version includes all DLC, gamepad support, and a completely redesigned user interface. iOS users can expect the release in late February 2025.

The game's unsettling gothic atmosphere, intense side-scrolling combat, and challenging difficulty are hallmarks of its design. Players assume the role of The Penitent One, a warrior battling to liberate the cursed island of Cvstodia from the insidious influence of The Miracle. Prepare for relentless battles against grotesque creatures born from a twisted blend of religious imagery and Spanish folklore.

Blasphemous' mobile adaptation boasts a refined UI and intuitive touch controls, while Bluetooth gamepad compatibility caters to players who prefer traditional controllers. All DLC is included in this release.

While iOS users must wait until late February 2025, the overwhelmingly positive reception from players and critics alike suggests the wait will be worthwhile.

Mobile platformers can be a mixed bag, with touch controls sometimes proving less than ideal for precise platforming. However, if you're up for the challenge, Blasphemous is definitely worth considering. For more options, check out our curated list of the top 25 platformers for Android and iOS.
