Unlocking Caldarus as a Romanceable Character
To begin your romance with Caldarus, you must break the Fire Seal on Floor 60 of the mines. This requires offering a Sealing Scroll, a Faceted Rock Gem, an Emerald, and a Rockroot. Breaking the seal triggers a cutscene where the Mines Priestess demands the farmer leave. Just as danger looms, Caldarus appears, transforming into his human form, granting you the Dragon's Breath spell before retreating to the Deep Woods. This transformation unlocks his romance path. You'll need the Dragon's Breath spell to access his temple in the Deep Woods, where you can interact with him and give gifts.
Caldarus' Heart Events
Caldarus begins with six hearts—the current maximum—after the March 2025 update. While additional heart events are expected in future updates, currently only a few cutscenes exist. An early dream sequence introduces Mistria's magic, and a later scene shows Caldarus saving the farmer after breaking the Fire Seal, revealing his human form.
A special date is available during the Shooting Star Festival on Summer 28.
