Remedy has set the stage for an exciting addition to the Control universe with the announcement of FBC: Firebreak, slated for release on June 17, 2025. This game offers a session-based, multiplayer PvE experience, revolving around dynamic missions called Jobs. Each Job presents unique challenges, objectives, and environments, demanding teamwork and adaptability from players. This engaging gameplay promises to keep fans coming back for more.

FBC: Firebreak will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Excitingly, it will be accessible from day one on PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium). This marks Remedy's inaugural venture into self-publishing, showcasing their confidence in this new title.

Alongside the standard edition, Remedy has unveiled the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition, priced at $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. This premium version includes exclusive cosmetics and voice packs, such as "The Firestarter" and "The Pencil Pusher" Premium Voice Packs, the Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision, a Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin, a Golden Firebreak Spray, and the Classified Requisition: "Firestarter" which offers 36 unlockable cosmetic items. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for an additional $10 / €10 / £7.

A key feature of FBC: Firebreak is the Requisitions system, which allows players to earn new gear and cosmetics simply by playing the game. This system rewards players with weapons, equipment, armor, sprays, and more, all unlockable with in-game currency. Notably, there are no limited-time windows or rotating stores; every added item remains perpetually available. For those seeking more customization, Classified Requisitions provide premium cosmetic items purchasable with real money, ensuring that these items remain purely cosmetic and do not influence gameplay.

Remedy has committed to ongoing support for FBC: Firebreak post-launch, with plans to introduce two new Jobs in 2025 and further updates in 2026. All new playable content, including Jobs, will be free to all players. Cosmetics can be purchased, but they will not impact gameplay, and there will be no limited-time rotations or daily log-ins, Remedy assures.

With FBC: Firebreak on the horizon, Remedy is busier than ever, concurrently developing Control 2 and the Max Payne and Max Payne 2 remake compilation. Fans of Remedy's immersive storytelling and innovative gameplay have much to look forward to.
