Sony has rolled out new updates for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, enhancing various features of these consoles.
The PS5's update, version 25.02-11.00.00, is a 1.3GB download that brings significant improvements. Now, activities are easier to view with full details displayed on cards, while potential spoilers remain hidden for a seamless experience. Additionally, the update introduces support for Unicode 16.0 emojis, allowing users to express themselves more vividly in messages. There are also updates to parental controls; setting the restriction level to Late Teens or Older now defaults Communication and User-Generated Content to Restrict. If you've previously set this level, your settings will remain as Customize. The system software's performance and stability have been enhanced, along with improvements to messages and usability across various screens.
For PS4 users, update 12.50 is more modest, focusing solely on improving messages and usability on select screens.
Sony's commitment to updating its consoles extends beyond the current generation, with recent updates even reaching the nearly 20-year-old PlayStation 3.
