For a series renowned for its irreverent humor, Goat Simulator's recent Goat Direct showcase took a surprisingly serious tone with fewer practical jokes than fans might have expected. Instead, the event focused on unveiling a range of new merchandise, including plushies and a special CRKD controller line, alongside a sneak peek at an upcoming card game.
The highlight of the showcase, however, was the announcement that the eagerly awaited Multiverse of Nonsense expansion pack for Goat Simulator 3 is set to launch on mobile devices. While an exact release date remains under wraps, more details are promised to be revealed soon. As its name suggests, Multiverse of Nonsense will transport players into a parallel universe teeming with bizarre and entertaining transformations, ranging from a cartoon-themed town to a city populated entirely by goats, and even a mythical mountaintop.
But that's not all—in a nod to April Fool's Day, Coffee Stain North also rolled out a free update for Goat Simulator 3. This 10th-anniversary celebration introduces 27 new pieces of gear, two fresh events in San Angora, and a unique goat skin inspired by the upcoming Pilgor plushie, slated for release later this year.
It's somewhat fitting that the Goat Direct was light on the usual pranks. Given the series' history of outlandish features, adding more fictional elements might have frustrated fans eagerly awaiting real, tangible updates.
