In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, your shoes are essential for navigating the game's challenging terrain. As they wear out, you'll need to either acquire new ones or repair your existing pair. Here’s a detailed guide on how to manage your footwear effectively.

Starting the game, you're equipped with a basic pair of shoes, but you don't need to stick with them throughout your journey. There are several ways to obtain new footwear. You can discover shoes in chests or by looting them from enemies like poachers. If you prefer a more legitimate approach, you can purchase them from vendors.

While tailors, such as the one in Troskowitz, sell shoes, these often come with lower stats. For better quality, seek out a cobbler. You can find one in Trosky, identified by a symbol on the map resembling three red pieces in a circle, as shown below.

When visiting a cobbler like Matthew, you'll have access to a variety of items, including shoes and horse gear. You can also purchase materials and both Blacksmith’s and Cobbler’s Kits from them.

How to Repair Shoes

Repairing your shoes is just as important as acquiring new ones. You can take your shoes to cobblers or blacksmiths and select the repair option. A menu will appear, allowing you to choose which items to repair and showing the associated costs. These costs may decrease if you've invested in the Craftsmanship skill, which provides discounts on NPC repairs for both shoes and armor.

Alternatively, you can repair your shoes yourself, provided your Craftsmanship level is high enough. To do this, you'll need a Cobbler’s Kit, available from various vendors including cobblers and blacksmiths, or found in chests and from looted NPCs. To use the kit, access your inventory, select the Cobbler’s Kit, and press the interact button ("E" on PC). This will open a menu displaying damaged items that can be repaired. If an item appears faded, your skill level isn't sufficient to repair it. Otherwise, select the items you wish to repair and press the interact button again to complete the process.

This guide covers how to get and repair shoes in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For repairing other gear, use the Blacksmith’s Kit similarly. It's always beneficial to keep your equipment in top condition, whether by self-repair or through a skilled vendor.
