Nintendo has officially announced that preorders for the Nintendo Switch 2 will begin on April 9 in the United States and April 8 in the UK. The much-anticipated console is set to launch on June 5, 2025, and will be priced at $449.99. Additionally, a special Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle will be available at a suggested retail price of $499.99 in the US, including the system and a download code for Mario Kart World, available from the launch day. For those who prefer to purchase Mario Kart World separately, it will be available at a recommended retail price of $79.99.

You can currently register your interest with Nintendo to be notified about preorders for the Nintendo Switch 2 and its accessories at the My Nintendo Store. Invitations to purchase will be sent out via email on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to users who have a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership and have logged at least 50 gameplay hours by April 2, 2025. After priority users, remaining eligible registrants will be considered. These invitations are non-transferable and valid for 72 hours, with a purchase limit of one system and one of each accessory per account. Major retailers are also expected to open up preorders on April 9, 2025.
