StarCraft Mini-Set Unveiled by Hearthstone

Hearthstone's massive Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, boasting a record-breaking 49 new cards, launches January 21st. This expansion, unveiled at the November 13th, 2024 Warcraft Direct, bridges the gap between Hearthstone and StarCraft, introducing class-specific and multi-class StarCraft faction cards.

The Mini-Set features three cards per Hearthstone class, plus five faction-specific cards (one Legendary) for each of the three StarCraft races (Zerg, Protoss, Terran). These cards introduce unique mechanics, such as Zerg swarm-based damage, Protoss mana manipulation, and Terran Starship enhancements. A single neutral Legendary card, Grunty, rounds out the collection. Card reveals will continue throughout the week leading up to launch.

Pricing and Acquisition:

A complete Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set costs $20 (or 2500 gold), a $5 increase over standard Mini-Sets. The all-Golden version costs $80 (12,000 gold). Alternatively, individual faction packs (Protoss, Terran, or Zerg) are available for $10 (1200 gold). Cards can also be obtained through standard Great Dark Beyond packs.

Launch Celebration:

To celebrate the release, Hearthstone is hosting two streamed events:

  • StarCast (January 23rd, 10 AM PST): Featuring StarCraft legends TrumpSC and Day9.
  • HearthCraft (January 24th, 9 AM PST): Showcasing Hearthstone community creators representing each StarCraft faction.

Viewers can earn four packs (two standard, two Golden Great Dark Beyond packs) by watching these Twitch streams.
