Sumo Digital has unveiled a new Texas Chain Saw Massacre update for June 25, 2024, addressing issues related to the skill trees of several characters, including Cook, Julie, and Hands. This Texas Chain Saw Massacre update also aims to enhance gameplay by fixing various bugs related to the UI and visuals.
Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a video game developed by Sumo Digital. It is an asymmetrical horror game inspired by the iconic 1974 film. Players can join the infamous Slaughter family or play as one of their victims in a strategic 3v4 multiplayer setting. The game is set in early 1973 and follows Ana and her friends as they search for Ana's missing sister, only to encounter the horrors of Leatherface and his family. Texas Chain Saw Massacre has received positive reviews for capturing the chilling essence of the film and providing a terrifying and immersive experience.
The upcoming update is scheduled to roll out on June 25, 2024, for both console and PC. One of the highlights of the update is the introduction of Hitchhiker’s Claymore outfit, available for purchase at $2.99 USD. This cosmetic update introduces a new Texas Chain Saw Massacre skin for players to unlock. Additionally, the update includes several important fixes and improvements. The Lobby cooldown penalty has been improved for better effectiveness, ensuring a smoother matchmaking experience. The update also addresses several issues with the skill trees of Cook and Julie. Among these updates is a fix for Cook's middle path in his Skill Tree, which previously prevented players from reaching level 10. This has been resolved by adding additional Attribute Point nodes. This change ensures that the middle path reaches the 50/50 threshold for level 10.
Hands is Texas Chain Saw Massacre’s most recent killer and significant adjustments have been made to his abilities. An exploit related to Hands' stamina, where the middle path on his Ability Tree was affecting his overall stamina instead of just his defensive barge stamina, has been corrected. Additionally, issues with Hands' ability upgrades for "Reduce Defensive Barge Stamina Cost" have been resolved, ensuring that the upgrades function as intended at any Tier level.
Some attribute nodes that showed incorrect connection lines to other nodes have also been fixed, ensuring proper connections in all Skill Trees. Other fixes include resolving a UI bug that incorrectly displayed removed perks in character customization loadout pages. Now, the customization loadout pages accurately reflect the available perks.
Visual fixes have also been included in this update. These fixes address hair texture issues with the recently added Texas Chain Saw Massacre character Maria. While Sumo Digital continues to address user feedback, players can look forward to a refined gameplay experience with the June 2024 update.
