Digimon's latest venture into the mobile gaming world, Digimon Alysion, was unveiled during DIGIMON CON 2025, sparking excitement among fans. This new mobile trading card game (TCG) is set to redefine the franchise's presence in the digital space, following the footsteps of successful titles like Pokémon TCG Pocket and Marvel Snap. Digimon Alysion promises to be a free-to-play experience where players can amass a collection of cards featuring beloved Digimon and characters, craft their decks, and engage in thrilling battles with opponents. What sets Digimon Alysion apart is its ambitious inclusion of a story mode, offering players an immersive narrative alongside traditional and competitive gameplay options.

The announcement was accompanied by a captivating trailer that not only showcased snippets of the game's mechanics but also introduced an all-female cast set to star in the speculated story mode. Among the new characters are Kanata Hondo, Futre, and Valner Dragnogh, joined by a novel Digimon named Gemmon. While an exact release date remains under wraps, Bandai has teased an upcoming closed beta test, with further details to be disclosed soon.

Hara confirmed that players will begin their journey by choosing from three iconic starter Digimon from the original Digimon Adventure series: Patamon, Gomamon, and DemiDevimon, dispelling earlier fan speculations and confirming their roles as the initial partners.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger boasts an expansive roster of over 450 Digimon, surpassing its predecessor, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory, which featured 330 Digimon. The new trailer highlighted some fan-favorites such as Angewomon, Gallantmon, and Agumon, adding to the anticipation. The narrative revolves around time-travel, with players selecting between two protagonists, Dan Yuki and Kanan Yuki, who are secret agents for ADAMAS, tasked with uncovering threats to both humans and Digimon. Accompanying them on their journey is the main heroine, Inori Misono, alongside her partner Aegiomon.

The event also featured several other announcements, including a promotional video celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Digimon Anime, new starter decks and booster packs for the Digimon Trading Card Game, and the announcement of a new anime series, Digimon Beatbreak, set to premiere in October 2025.
